Elin Rose Waite won the hearts of thousands after her story was featured in the JEP in May.
In a moving interview, her parents, former Jersey teachers Sian and Martin, described the receiving the devastating diagnosis in 2011 that she was suffering from Ewing’s Sarcoma and the news this year that the treatment available to her though the NHS had come to an end.
Since then, hundreds of Islanders have donated to the appeal and many more have organised events and sponsored challenges. In total, Islanders have raised more than £35,000 of the £100,000 so far collected.
