In the last few days the show has suffered a number of setbacks, including seeing the giant C-17 Globemaster, the Sentry and Sentinel spy planes and the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane planes of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight pull out due to operational reasons, technical problems or concerns over the weather.
But despite the setbacks, today’s show was still due to be packed with some of the world’s best aircraft, including the Saab Viggen and Sea Fury fighter jets and the ever popular Red Arrows.
Meanwhile, there is a static display at the Airport, open today from 8 am to 10 am, and 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, and on Friday from 8.30 am to 12,.30 pm.
• See today’s JEP for full preview and to collect your special souvenir poster featuring some of the aircraft in today’s display
