An autogyro – a rotary wing aircraft which resembles a helicopter – was one of the main attractions of the Air Pageant held at Les Quennevais in 1933.
There was reportedly so much interest in the display that it caused the Island’s first ever traffic jam.
Now, a modern autogyro is being lined up to take to the skies above St Aubin’s Bay for Thursday’s event.
