Data Protection Commissioner Emma Martins says that people – particularly youngsters – should be aware of what they post online, saying that flippant comments or inappropriate photos can stay online forever and ‘come back to haunt them’.
Mrs Martins said that over the past three years there had been marked rise in Islanders running into trouble on social media sites.
