Simon Nixon, who is said to have amassed a fortune of £400 million and is the group’s deputy chairman, moved to the Island earlier this year.

He will be joined by Elizabeth Astall, a Jersey woman who is a former chairman and managing director of Accenture plc, and who is also currently a non-executive director of Digital Jersey.

The expert panel of speakers, which will include Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf, will discuss how Jersey should position itself in order to remain a successful jurisdiction for international financial services.

It will also debate what needs to be done for the Island to become a centre of digital excellence.
