The near sell-out event saw all 27 of the floats from Thursday’s Battle of Flowers parade come to life once more – this time enhanced with thousands of colourful lights.

The award for the best illuminated float went to the Optimists Club’s Les Miserables inspired Beyond The Barricade – the winner of the top prize, the Prix d’Honneur, at Thursday’s parade.

It was also an evening of celebration for the St Peter’s Juniors team, as their float, Mary Poppins, was awarded both the junior Moonlight Carnival Atmosphere Award and the prize for the best illuminated junior float.

Meanwhile, the parish of Trinity picked up the senior Moonlight Carnival Atmosphere Award for their lively entry, Rock Around The Clock – a prize they also won in the day parade.
