Across the Island, hundreds of Battle enthusiasts will be working into the night to ensure that their exhibits are ready in time for Thursday’s Grand Day parade – and although some of the teams may well have stuck their final flower on by early evening, others will not be seeing their beds and are likely to be working right through the night to make sure that everything is just right for the big day.

If you have never visited a Battle shed on the eve of the parade, then you will be amazed by the sheer dedication and hard work and the wonderful sense of community spirit on display.

And seeing the floats in the final stages of their building and decorating will make you appreciate even more the efforts that go into into the entries for the parades, the main Battle of Flowers taking place tomorrow afternoon and the Moonlight Parade on Friday evening.
