The figure, released today by the States Statistics Unit, is well below the 3.3 per cent rise in prices seen in the UK and is below the forecast rate of about two per cent.
And motoring costs – including showroom prices and insurance – dropped by four per cent and the cost of clothes dropped by three per cent during the past 12 months.
