Thomas Derek Mawer (34) attacked another man with a knife outside the police station on 17 November last year, leaving him with a slash wound and a deeper cut to his left arm which required stitches.
The court heard that the victim and a female friend, who were on their way to a party, were walking along Rouge Bouillon at about 4.30 am when Mawer ‘came flying towards them’ with a knife.
