The Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny panel plans to look at rules for using and retaining footage, as well as monitoring images and the effectiveness of CCTV in preventing and detecting crime.
Panel chairman Deputy Jeremy Maçon said that the review was prompted in part by a member of the public who raised concerns over the use of surveillance technology to monitor Islanders.
