Launch of Jersey Design Awards

Fort Regent and the Jersey Tourism basked in an orange glow on Monday night to highlight the competition which is being organised as part of Architecture Week in June.

Architecture Week, which is held every two years, celebrates the work that goes into creating the Island’s built landscape. It finishes with the design awards, which this year will be hosted by art historian, BBC presenter and architecture expert Dan Cruickshank.

The week is organised by the Association of Jersey Architects who are inviting entries for the awards, the categories for which can found on their website, www.

jerseyarchitects.com, or on the planning section of the States website.

Entries must be received by midday on Monday 20 May and the winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event, which runs from Sunday 23 June and Saturday 28 June..
