This month six Albanian nationals, using forged or stolen Italian documents, made unsuccessful attempts to use the Island as a back door for entry into the UK.
Four of them, including a woman, were stopped by Customs and Immigration officers after arriving in the Island from France on the Victor Hugo vessel, while a sixth was arrested in France when on his way to Jersey.
