Despite the heavens opening during the afternoon, Islanders and tourists once again came out in force for the summer event, which is now in its 64th year.
As ever, there was something on offer for fête-goers of all ages, from fairground rides and a variety of food stalls to a bonny baby competition and the famous yard-of-ale drinking contest.
