Following weeks of fine and sunny weather, during which Islanders basked in the warmest March for 64 years, Arctic air will plunge over the Channel Islands tonight.

Temperatures will struggle to reach 8°C during the next two days, with the possibility of sleet in the early hours of tomorrow.

And although it is likely to be mainly dry during the Easter weekend, the temperatures will only just make it into double figures.
