It is understood that the posts are in its fund administration departments. Details of how many posts will be lost in each Island were not available yesterday but staff were told about the impending job losses this week.
The bank, which employs more than 500 people in Guernsey and Jersey, said they remained committed to funds business in the islands, where they are a major player.
