The Fort's an embarrassment, says the Treasury Minister

Senator Philip Ozouf, who was addressing a Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, said that the new Council of Ministers should be the ones to finally come up with – and deliver – meaningful improvement to the old fort that overlooks town.

He said: ‘I find it an embarrassment, a symbol of our lack of performance in property management when I see the swimming pool still having scaffolding around it, and corrugated iron falling off the side of it.’

‘We need to put our minds together and bring expertise in to find a solution. It is a fantastic site with huge potential and we need to stop all of the talk and start the action.’
