A number of objections have been submitted to Planning about proposals to demolish Ker du Pons, a large bungalow on Mont du Petit Port, St Brelade, to build five flats and two houses.

They include ones from neighbouring residents and the National Trust who all believe that the plans are inappropriate for the site because they are too urban and big. The site is also very close to the newly approved coastal national park.

The concerned residents were due to be joined at the 9 am meeting by Deputies Sean Power and John Young and Senator Sarah Ferguson, who lives in the parish. St Brelade Constable Steve Pallett and Deputy Montfort Tadier are also understood to be involved but could not make the meeting.
