The disruption began yesterday when the firm cancelled all return crossings to the UK. Only the services to St Malo went ahead as scheduled.

The firm was then forced to bring in extra staff to help affected passengers following forecasts of more severe weather today and tomorrow.

Despite the severe weather, the firm’s conventional ferries are continuing to operate as normal and as many passengers as possible are being transferred onto the Commodore Clipper.
