Forty-two riders took part in the hunt, which ran from the manor to Devil’s Hole, and Jersey Drag Hunt president Ian Ozanne said that the event had been a great success, despite an injury to one rider.
He said: ‘We had a marvellous time. It was very demanding, though, and unfortunately one of the riders had a fall and broke a collarbone. But it is a sport that has an element of danger as well as fun.
‘Gary and Helen Hamilton were wonderful hosts at Vinchelez. It was marvellous to see so many people turning up on foot – it was quite a sight. A huge number of people came out, and more and more people are turning out on Boxing Day morning to see the hunt off.’
