The £100 million Jersey International Finance Centre – which would include offices and a public park five times the size of the Royal Square – would sit on the current Esplanade Quarter car park and would not involve sinking Route de la Libération.

Proposal

The proposal also retains the current 520 public car parking spaces in the form of basement car parking and provides 250 new spaces for tenants.

The Jersey Development Company, which has reduced the amount of office space because of the economic climate, say that the project will cost the taxpayer nothing and will generate £20 million upon its completion.
