Environment Minister Rob Duhamel has approved Dandara’s scheme to build 100 cottages, 32 social-rented bungalows, 48 social-rented flats and a 42-bed care home and community centre on Fields 516, 517 and 518, which border Patier Road, Chasse Brunet and St Saviour’s Hill.

Last month Deputy Duhamel deferred his decision on the proposal – which provoked 75 letters of representation from 43 individuals – and said that he wanted to visit the site. He has now passed the scheme, subject to a number of conditions.
