In an unusual turn of events this was the second time the competition had been played in 2011 as the 2010 version was postponed until May of this year because of travel problems last year due to Jersey Live.
The first meeting brought Guernsey victory, by one point, in the men’s event, as they won the title for the first time in 15 years, while the ladies’ left nothing to chance winning by a convincing 52 shots. However, this time around the men returned to winning ways, clinching five rinks and losing just one with an overall shot difference of 33 shots while the ladies’ team continued their impressive form with four rink wins, two losses and a 34 shot difference.
