Jersey’s only political party appears to have thrown in the towel after its last member in the States, Deputy Geoff Southern, said that he would be standing as an independent candidate in St Helier No 2.
He said that the party would reconsider its position after the election.
‘The situation is that the JDA is not standing candidates this time around because of a loss of membership and will reconsider its position and its direction after the election,’ said the Deputy.
