There are a maximum of six matches remaining for Jersey this season – and, almost certainly, five of them will be at St Peter. And crucially, with Jersey still holding a nine-point advantage over third-placed Richmond, only four of them are league fixtures.
Unbeaten at home for over two years, Jersey are a particularly formidable side at St Peter, and victories over the next two weekends should virtually wrap up a play-off spot against North II’s runners-up on 28 May, which is most likely to be played in the Island.
The other home fixture is, of course, the annual contest with Guernsey for the Siam Cup, to be played on 14 May.
