Power: 'States did not overpay at Goose Green'

Speaking yesterday after returning to work from a period of treatment at a UK hospital, Deputy Sean Power said a report by the States independent spending watchdog which made the allegation was misleading and ‘simply wrong’.

The reality, he insisted, was that the homes at La Providence, Goose Green, now amounted to States assets worth around £8.3 million, that it had both paid nothing for and had taken on no risk in acquiring.
