One in ten cars to have electric or hybrid engine

He set the target at a Chamber of Commerce lunch yesterday at the Pomme d’Or Hotel. He also wants the next type of bus to be hybrid when the current fleet is replaced.

‘I am now setting a target of ten per cent for new local cars to be electric or hybrid,’ Senator Cohen told the audience. ‘We will also encourage the bus operator to deliver a hybrid fleet when their current fleet is replaced.’
