Having played her last game as goalkeeper for Jersey in the recent ladies’ Muratti she has switched her focus to golf with immediate effect.
In her first year at Division I the St Clement player got the better of Hanna Day 4 and 3 yesterday on the Les Mielles course and will now face La Moye’s Gloria Paradiso, who had a bye, this morning in the battle for a semi-final spot.
Virginia Austin Walker provides reigning champion, and La Moye club-mate, Alex Mollin with her opposition today after finishing 2 up to beat Royal Jersey’s Dympna Varian yesterday in windy conditions.
The match of the day could well be between La Moye members Jenny Deeley, who had a bye yesterday, and Elaine Pushman, who defeated Sheelagh Le Quesne 5 and 3.
