So far only one event – a business breakfast – has been cancelled but the organisers have been frantically trying to book performers and sporting personalities on boats in a bid to help the shows go on.
Updates will be released as soon as they have made a decision about events and they are advising Islanders to check with them if they have any concerns.
One of the UK’s biggest classical music stars, Russell Watson, is due to perform at Fort Regent on Friday, but so far organisers have not been able to confirm that the concert will definitely go ahead. Former Opera House owner Dick Ray, who is bringing the star to the Island, was himself stranded in the UK until yesterday.
