A late change in the date of the fixture has meant that there are no boats for the match at Foote’s Lane, just outside St Peter Port.

The game was originally scheduled for 24 April, but Jersey’s first team’s national commitments mean that the game has had to be rearranged for Saturday 1 May.

As a result, no boat has been planned for the later date and, when the fixture change was announced, it was too late to alter the ferry timetable.

Instead, Jersey Rugby Club has charted the Manche Isles Express ferry – which usually operates on the Granville route – to take players, managers, coaches and some parents to Guernsey. The club has also secured seats on planes.
