Four-nil was just reward for a side that returned to form after back-to-back league draws and while Craig Leitch took his season’s haul to 34 goals with a brace, newcomer Harrison Jukes also scored a peach of a goal before substitute Jean-Paul Martyn rounded off the scoring.

Portuguese, who played well in the first half but without a cutting edge, will want to forget the evening quickly.

They contributed to their downfall with defensive errors and in the final minute central defender Ricardo David was sent off after denying Mark Lucas a goal-scoring opportunity.
