The Russian, a quarter-finalist at the US Open in 2002 who broke into the top 15 in the world rankings in 2004, returns to Jersey as she continues her comeback from injury which forced her off the professional circuit for around a year.

Briton Katie O’Brien will not be back to defend her title but her 2009 opponent Claire Feuerstein will feature and will no doubt be hoping to put things right after retiring injured in the final last year.
