Plans to build the houses on Field 469 in Prince’s Tower Road – which is in the green zone – were submitted to Planning last week by company Bywood. No details have yet been released about what sort of homes the company wants to build.
However, the Constable, Peter Hanning, said that he would not support development in the green zone, an area which should not be built on except in exceptional circumstances.
On the same road, developers Dandara want to build 73 homes on the site of the former Jersey Dairy.
Dandara bought the land at Five Oaks in July last year for £8.5 million and have submitted a Planning application for a mixture of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. No decision has been made about the plans, which were drawn up by UK architect Robert Adam.
