As one of the best golfers the Island has ever produced, the 22-year-old obtained a golf scholarship to America and is currently in her final year at Charleston University, South Carolina.
But, she is under no illusion of how tough it will be to pursue her ambition. For as well as attempting to qualify as a professional on the world circuit in Florida and then in Spain for her European pro card, there are the costs.
‘There are two stages in Florida, one in September, the second in December,’ she explained. ‘Only the top 30 get their pro card for the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) and it costs $5,000 to enter.
‘A pro card for the European qualifying tour is held at La Manga in December. My dream is to turn professional and then come back to Jersey so I can travel to any major events from here.
