The event has already attracted 336 entries for the full marathon (223 men and 113 women), 223 five-man teams for the relay and 80 entries for the 3 km fun run, the latter being sponsored by the Jersey Evening Post.
But for the event to happen on Sunday 27 September, a total of 370 helpers are needed, including 160 course marshals, 30 for the fun run and others for relay and water stations. The number of volunteers also includes over 70 members of the honorary police who assist with traffic control and diversions.
The marshals will be asked to direct runners around the 26.2-mile course, which starts and finishes at Weighbridge Square, as does the fun run.
If you would like to volunteer, you can contact the race organisers by e-mail at contact@jersey-marathon.com or call marshal manager Ian Le Gallais direct on 07797 763969.
