IT’S time to raid the loft and dust those family heirlooms – the Antiques Roadshow is coming to Jersey this summer, for the first time in more than a decade.
The popular Sunday evening television programme will be filming for its 32nd series at Samarès Manor, St Clement, on Friday 12 June. The show last visited the Island in 1995, during its 18th series, and the only other time it has been here was in its sixth series in 1984.
During the day Islanders will be able to take any items which they believe, or hope, to be valuable antiques to Samarès Manor between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm. Some of Britain’s leading antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand throughout the day to offer free advice and valuations.
Anyone who has any large pieces of furniture or other big items can send details and photographs of their objects to Antiques Roadshow, BBC, Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2LR, or e-mail them to antiques.road show@bbc. co.uk.
