CLINTON Woods and Elvir Muriqi will come face to face for the first time at the official boxers’ weigh-in on Friday.

The fighters – both challenging for a crack at the IBF world title – will square up in front of crowds at the Royal Yacht Hotel.

It will be the only confrontation of the two light heavyweight contenders before their world title eliminator at the Hotel de France on Saturday – dubbed the St Valentine’s Day Massacre – which will be broadcast live on ITV4.

The first meeting between fighters is often regarded as crucial – will mind games be played or will both play it cool. The fight is extremely difficult to call and any advantage may be regarded as important though both men have been dignity personified in the build-up so far.
