JERSEY pro boxer Danny Maka will again be on the undercard at Dennis Hobson’s Fight Academy night next Saturday.

Supporting the televised world title eliminator between Sheffield’s Clinton Woods and Elvir “Kosovo Kid” Muriqi, Maka will be aiming for his third win out of four professional bouts.

The light middleweight beat Peter Dunn on points in his debut at the Hotel de France last year, on the undercard for the English title fight between Femi Fehintola and Ryan Barrett. He went on to beat Duncan Cottier at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in November, but lost on points to Luke Robinson in Leeds later that month.

Maka’s opponent for Saturday night has not yet been announced, although it has been confirmed that super flyweight Fight Academy star Jamie McDonnell will return to the Island, and fellow Fight Academy boxer Joe Elfidh, boxing at light welterweight, will make his Jersey debut.
