THE Jersey Evening Post Home and Lifestyle Show at Fort Regent next week will go ahead and will not be affected by the liquidation of the show’s holding company.
Following an emergency meeting yesterday it has been confirmed that the popular event will take place as planned from 6 to 9 November. On Friday it was announced that one of the Channel Islands’ biggest advertising and marketing companies, Wallace Barnaby, had gone into liquidation. An arm of the Wallace Barnaby Group – CMA Event Management – was the holding company for the organisation of next week’s huge exhibition.
Two years ago when it was last held in Jersey more than 15,000 people attended and over 100 exhibitors displayed their wares. Today a statement was released by show director Julie Settle saying that following ‘strenuous discussions’ yesterday it was agreed that the show would go on.
