THE Queen’s Hotel will have a £1 million refurbishment at the beginning of next year and will reopen in March as The Inn Hotel, Bar and Restaurant.

The entire ground floor of the Queen’s Road hotel is being redesigned and several walls will be knocked down to create an open-plan bar, bigger restaurant and new al fresco area.

All of the bedrooms will be brought up to date and new facilities include a Wii room, WiFi and iPod docking stations in some rooms.

Managing director Stephen Clipp said: ‘We decided to go for it and give the hotel a contemporary, boutique feel. At The Inn we want to be distinctly different to any other three-star hotel in the Island in terms of the ambience and diversity of our offering.’
