How about a real rethink of the Bel Royal layout?
Share this:
From Andrew Sanders.
OUT of interest, before they decided to spend nearly £1m on the new road layout at Bel Royal, was an assessment made on whether the current layout is the best outside Bel Royal Motors?
I’ve often thought that a roundabout instead of the bus lane junction would be a better idea.
This would allow traffic in and out of St Peter’s Valley to and from Victoria Avenue and also to and from Beaumont – reducing traffic on the Inner Road, Rue du Galet and through Sandybrook. Traffic from Mont Félard heading west would also avoid using Rue du Galet.
Traffic in the area will obviously increase with the Goose Green development completion so this could reduce some of the impact.
Finally, it would stop people breaking the law when they sneak around the current junction.
