Win or lose, Greechan will return to Jersey later today, leaving her fellow-Islanders to contest the home international series that gets under way at the same venue tomorrow.
‘I’m sad that I can’t stay, but it quite simply a question of getting the time off from work,’ said Greechan at the end of a long day. ‘There are so many events on, and it’s impossible to play in them all.’
She added: “I’m particularly disappointed to miss out on the team event, because the team spirit within the Jersey team is tremendous at present – and I would have liked to have been part of it. I wish them well.’
