JERSEY being their journey to the Jeux des Iles in Guadeloupe today – and leave with their strongest ever team.
The event, a multi-sport island games for U18s, normally clashes with exams but this year falls in the May half-term break and therefore many more Jersey youngsters have declared themselves available.
There are 39 competitors making the trip to the Caribbean destination and team manager, Hugh Raymond, believes Jersey has a great chance of improving on the tenth place and record number of medals, though no golds, achieved last year in Corsica.
