Two teams from Hautlieu School battled it out in the Royal Court for the final of the BakerPlatt Youth Advocacy Competition.

And in the end it was an all-girl team who were the champions, with Joanna Hargreaves (17) and Rachael Crosby (16) beating off competition from fellow Hautlieu students Samuel Mezec and James Andrews (both 17).

During the evening the four finalists took part in a mock trial presided over by the Bailiff, Sir Philip Bailhache, with senior members of the BakerPlatt litigation team acting as Jurats.
