Although there are two minor injury worries in Calli Bushell and Sophie Hickey, coach Ally Meredith is confident they will be fit and thus takes a large squad over to the UK for the matches.
‘It’s a strong squad and nice to have the chance to take 12 players,’ said Meredith.
‘We lost to Team Bath by six goals the first time we played them and they, at the moment, are fifth in the league table.
‘However, they are only ten points ahead and we have two games in hand, for which there are ten points available, so if we can beat them and win our extra games we’ll gain another place.’
Their next opponents, Roman Glass, might prove tougher opposition as they are currently in a three-way tie for the top spot.
‘We’ve greatly improved across the whole season,’ added Meredith.
‘The players have noticed how much fitter they are compared to last year which bodes well not only for this weekend but also for the inter-insular next month.
‘Our wins have instilled the belief that we can beat anyone so working together, and with a big squad, we have the potential to get close to these teams and sneak the wins.
