The Housing sub-panel, which has published a 14-page report against the proposals, says that a ministerial scheme to rezone land for homes for the over-55s in eight parishes is based on ‘inadequate information’ which is misleading the public and the States.

The sub-panel, chaired by Deputy Sean Power, published their report on the proposed development of homes in Trinity, St Mary, St Brelade, St John, St Helier, St Saviour, Grouville and St Clement yesterday.

Their comments come just weeks after a coalition of farmers, environmentalists and heritage campaigners spoke out against the ministerial scheme.
