Playing at the Sir David English Sports Centre in Bournemouth the junior team, from the PwC School of Excellence, totally dominated proceedings as they beat Yeovil (Somerset I) 46-9, St Austell (Cornwall I) 46-6, and Predators (Cornwall II) 44-6.
‘The team were just amazing,’ said coach Linda Andrews.
‘We totally dominated and it was an excellent performance – the team gelled so well together producing solid performances throughout.
‘They impressed in keeping a high tempo and concentration in every game and with the pressure they imposed on the opposition.
‘We are now looking forward to the next challenge in two weeks time of four games against the best two teams in West and East Devon.’
From the offset Jersey showed an elevated skill level and coped well with three matches in the space of a few hours.
Emma Carre led the shooters and consistently netted her shots to twice be nominated player of the match by the opposition.
She was ably assisted by Lucy Crossman, whose interlinking play was sublime, to create endless shooting opportunities.
Cordelia Overland produced a solid performance for her first cap and grew in confidence over the three games.
The defensive trio were also supreme as they denied shooting opportunities and repeatedly cut out circle attacking plays.
Kirsten McArthur used her height and positional awareness against taller opposition in a dynamic fashion while Laura Harris, reacting off her team-mate, joined in the defensive display.
Steph Le Ruez, not to be outdone, claimed the player of the match award for the third game with an impressive display hunting down the ball to add to the turnover tally.
The strength in depth of the centre court players was clearly evident as J United commanded the area, ably reverting from defence into attack with precision and speed.
Jenna Murphy, Lisa Luce and Amy Dingle were full of running, executing exciting attacking play and setting up efficient interlinking play.
Natalie Hellio and Charlotte Trigg continued in the same vein out-manoeuvring their opponents and securing interceptions to aid play.
