Senator Syvret wants an examination of Mr Pollard’s handling of an investigation into allegations made by the former Health Minister about child protection services. He is claiming, among other things, that an inappropriate relationship between a care worker and a child in a residential home was hushed up. And the Senator is claiming massive shortcomings in Mr Pollard’s investigation into the issues that he raised prior to being sacked as Health Minister by the States. But Chief Minister Frank Walker has rejected suspending the Health chief executive and described the Senator’s actions as ‘outrageous’ after he circulated allegations aimed at Mr Pollard without supplying any evidence to support them.
Health chief should be suspended, says Syvret
