KARATE Champions return Jersey won four gold medals at the EKKA Kenpo Karate World Championship in Belgium.

Jersey Kenpo’s Emma Crossley won both the U15 creative form and weapons.

She then paired with Jasmine Mauger to be crowned the champions in the team form.

In the men’s sparring, Craig Mauger won gold while there were bronze medals in the ladies’ form for Zoe Rowan and Fiona Herivel.

From the All Round Kenpo Karate Club came three bronze medallists as Matthew Poole, Beau Teeling and Georgia Hodierne all finished third.

Harry Hodierne had the club’s best finish as he took a silver medal.

Jay Newton also made the final of his form.

BAR BILLIARDS Guernsey champion Guernsey’s Trevor Gallienne beat Brighton’s Jim Millward to win the Bar Billiards World Championship at the Ommaroo Hotel.

Surrey’s Phil Collins beat Jerseyman Dave Gallichan to win the Plate Championship and Jersey’s Nigel Ryall and Graham Bisson of the Trinity Arms won the Pairs Championship.
