The JEP’s consumer campaigning team has discovered that Jersey residents with Island-based accounts can claim back charges going back ten years. It had previously been thought that claims were limited to six years. The revelation is likely to lead to a flood of new applications from account holders who thought that they had to write off money taken from their accounts in penalty charges before 2001.
