They voted 29-8 in favour of allowing the States £559 million for next year – an increase of 7.2 per cent on last year’s spending. The vote on Friday afternoon followed debates on two controversial amendments on nursery care and cutting States spending, and the approval of departmental budgets on Wednesday morning.
